Ana Yoder Coulter is a piano teacher and collaborative pianist in Northern Indiana, with more than a decade of experience teaching students of all ages both group and individual lessons, in private studio and university settings. She operates a private piano studio out of her home in Goshen, Indiana, and works as an applied piano instructor and staff pianist in the Music Department at Goshen College. Recently, she also served as keyboard artist for the Camerata Singers 2021-22 season. Ana is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association, and its local chapter, the South Bend Area Music Teachers Association.
Ana completed her Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio in May of 2013, where she was a graduate teaching assistant in the Class Piano area. While there, she was awarded second place in the 2012 Chamber Music Competition, Finalist in the 2012 Marjorie Conrad Art Song Competition, and second place in the 2013 Marjorie Conrad Art Song Competition. Ana received her Bachelor of Arts from Goshen College where she focused her music degree in piano pedagogy and taught piano through the Community School of the Arts.
In recent years, Ana has worked as a collaborative pianist at Interlochen Center for the Arts during their Summer Arts Camp, at Toledo (Ohio) Opera for their annual Children’s Opera Summer Camp, as music director and pianist for the Bowling Green Children’s Opera, and as a piano instructor at The Studio Connection in Bowling Green, Ohio. From August 2013 to July 2018, she was employed as adjunct professor of music and staff accompanist at Bluffton University (Bluffton, Ohio) where she enjoyed accompanying and touring with the choirs, teaching applied piano lessons, and accompanying music students' lessons and recitals.
When not teaching or playing piano, Ana enjoys running or walking outdoors, catching up with friends, and spending time with her husband and daughters.
